I bought these earrings for a cross pendant with a heart. The heart of the pendant is a real ruby red, pinkish red. Earrings are bright red. I wish they were a more realistic "ruby" color, but they match the necklace. If the earrings are being sold as a birthstone, they should be more of a real shade of ruby than the bright red. Real rubies are more pinkish-red in color. For the price they are ok and they look good and are a good size.
