UPDATE: Makerfocus contacted me and after several emails decided it would be best to send me a replacement for testing. This battery works with the limited tests I've run (playing YouTube videos through Raspian; no hardcore gaming or 1080p video yet) without the occasional low-power lightning bolt icon I usually get. I'm assuming the battery life won't hit the hours like a cellphone when watching videos or playing games, but: a.) So far it's working EXACTLY as intended. b.) The company responded quickly to my comments and helped with troubleshooting. everything so I don't miss anything. (I built a few of these, but it was still nice that they covered their basics.) Conclusion: I will be using Makerfocus for all my future RPI projects. Thank you Makefocus! Technically does what it's supposed to do, but my Pi v3 is in permanent shutdown mode (low voltage icon stays on screen) so I really can't use it with the Pi without damaging my board. I've heard people mention a "quality micro usb cable" but since there is nothing on the internet about what a "battery friendly" cable is versus a regular cable, I never will Experienced. Unfortunately it has to gather dust with my other old computer peripherals.
