Review on Breathable Ankle Support for Men and Women by Victor Olsen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent support when running, not too bulky, easy to use

Great Product! As another reviewer said I would give more stars if I could. I mostly run trails and had a bad ankle sprain followed by a calf sprain. While recovering, I was looking for a support that would still fit in my running shoes and be easy to put on. I've tried a few others that were just supportive sleeves or socks that were fine, but they didn't really offer enough support, especially on trails, and I find these compression products uncomfortable to put on. My wife also has ankle problems and has worn braces before but they are bulky and it takes her a few minutes to get ready. Easy to put on, they just need to be positioned and tightened with velcro straps that hold very well. This takes about ten seconds. Once you put them on you may find that they need to be adjusted and you will need to take off your shoes to do this. I know it feels painful when running, but it's definitely worth a few seconds to get it right. One note: I always wear socks and it seems that barefoot can be uncomfortable although I haven't really tried it. Fit wise they go great with my regular size sneakers as the collar is stretchy and flexible enough to put on. I'm guessing this might not work in regular sized dress shoes, but I haven't tried it in dress shoes. I've pretty much recovered from the sprain, but I still wear it because it's so light and comfortable (and trail walking is so dangerous!). I'll probably buy another one for my left leg as a precaution.
