UPDATE: After a few uses, the protective film suddenly detached itself. Once I removed it the scratches I thought were on the mirror itself disappeared leaving a very nice clean mirror. Most things we buy with a protective film have a corner that says "Peel Here". On this mirror it is impossible to tell where and how to peel off the foil. BUT. It's there and can be removed and now the mirror works and looks good. [Original review: OK, here we go. This item has a sticker directly on the "glass" that says "remove protective film". After spending a few minutes trying to find an edge of the film to hold on to, I found that there was NO screen protector at all. However, there was a much larger sticker in the center of the mirror that did NOT peel off easily. In fact, he left layers of paper behind. When I scraped the paper with my fingernail, it left traces of glue. So I used the GooGone and then found that my scraping had completely scratched and ruined the surface of the mirror in the center (see photo). I wrote asking the seller to just send a replacement mirror (the mount and suction cup were fine) but they refused and said I should return everything for a replacement. Which I eventually do, and this time I'm ONLY using GooGone to remove ugly stickers that shouldn't have been put on in the first place.]
