This works great to calm my 5 year old. an old kitten with high levels of fear and energy who sometimes taunts suitors by pulling out hairs and leaving bald patches on his beautiful coat. My vet suggested I try this and it really puts his mind at ease when he's having one of his over-grooming episodes. After ingestion, it takes about 5 minutes for him to calm down and the non-stop licking is over. so it works pretty quick for him. He loves the taste and likes to lick it off my finger so getting a full dose at once is no problem. My other 2 cats don't need it but just out of curiosity I gave them some to see if they liked the taste. They both licked it off my finger to show their approval. They are used to licking the product off my finger as they also get a daily lysine product in the same shape/flavor they like too. I just hold the phone, say the time of the treatment and they come running. This soothing gel works exactly as described on my kitty and I love the ingredients but it may not work on all cats. Just like catnip, it depends on the cat. My cat is very susceptible to catnip. Since this product contains some catnip, maybe that's one of the reasons it works so well for him? It's a win, a win in flavor and efficiency, so it's definitely on my reorder list.
