I've always been a fan of nylon straps because polymer straps have a suffocatingly damp feel when worn for long periods in hot weather or when exercising. The quality of this OEM nylon strap is immediately noticeable when you hold it in your hands. The QuikFit notches and buckle are made from DLC-treated steel, and the nylon itself is thick, tough, strong, yet extremely comfortable, with no rough edges to cause abrasion with prolonged wear. The steel construction adds a bit of weight, but you can be damn sure it'll never break. The nylon edges and buckle holes are heat treated to prevent fraying and wear. I have owned several aftermarket nylon straps and the construction and finish of this Garmin strap is simply superb in every way. The aftermarket straps had rough seams underneath which constantly chafed my wrist and made prolonged wear very itchy and uncomfortable, with this strap there are no such issues at all, the entire underside is smooth with no rough seams or knots. 100% worth the money if you love nylon straps and want them to withstand almost any impact you can throw at them.
