I have a red lens flashlight that I use when I'm in a telescope, but I need something that I don't have to carry around safe to carry it illuminate the area where I place my lenses and other gear. I bought this LED lamp https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VPTKQ7M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and a red gel sheet. I cut a piece and rolled it up to fit the ball part and it works pretty well. My package arrived undamaged, which I was concerned about here in the Arizona summer heat. We have used thicker versions of gels in the past. We had a group in the garage that day and did all the lights ourselves.
