I've been using Nature's Recipe Healthy Skin dog food since the 80's when it was a small private business and I had to carry a 40 pound bag of food on the bus. The business has changed hands a few times (once owned by Heinz, then a pet food brand, then Del Monte and now part of JM Smuckers), but the food has always been good and is now easier to find than ever. the recipe has recently changed and Nature's Recipe has moved to a smaller bag (from 30lbs to 24lbs) and although the size has changed the price doesn't seem to have changed. Glad to see they got rid of the food recently. My dogs have always loved food. For years, veterinarians have questioned the vegetarian diet for dogs, but when they examined my dogs, they found nothing to indicate they weren't getting the right nutrients from a vegetarian diet. has been used for over 30 years and this is one of them.
