I use them in IKEA Alex drawers. Smaller compartments can be configured to fit snugly in drawers. They don't move at all. But the largest size doesn't allow it to fit exactly in Alex drawers with any combination of compartments. Two narrow sizes are not the same as one of the wider ones. They're not exactly modular. The "lock" function isn't very good either. They only interlock on certain sides and don't really hold them together at all. They are made out of fairly cheap and flimsy plastic - dollar store quality, not big name brand quality. They'll fit in Alex drawers as long as you're comfortable with throwing away the large size. See photos. You can create such a partial drawer configuration in 3 drawers with a 22 piece set. If you want to fill the entire box, this definitely won't work. See photo. You can see that they aren't strictly modular at jagged endpoints. I've tried putting another container in the slot but it doesn't fit. If you're really good at Tetris, you might be able to find a combination that works.
