A backpack can be slim and travel-friendly, or you can expand it to fit a lot of stuff without looking bulky. It has decent storage capacity and different partitions for organization. The laptop compartment is well padded. The only thing is that the laptop zipper is on the outside. But I really like this backpack and I don't see any other that is as thin and expandable as this backpack and can hold a laptop. The price is also very reasonable. I don't know how waterproof it is, I haven't tried it.
