It turns out that the thin sheet of plastic that holds the three pins inside becomes brittle and warps when heated, causing the plastic to become brittle and crack when the adapter is pulled off! Ridiculous. You must use better materials than this. Thing gets hot, but not so hot you can't touch it or anything! He shouldn't have melted like that. And twice in less than 6 months? This is a $40 item and should be able to withstand your laptop's normal charging operating temperatures.
