Anyone who complains about "threads" in socks DOESN'T understand how knitting works! If you have a commercial knit product and a color change occurs, the thread for the next color will be cut off. It's not a quality problem. We have had these socks for about 3 years now and they are holding up beautifully. They haven't slimmed down, they've kept their shape and strength, and they're very cute. After hundreds of washes, they're still snug and comfortable. Our girls love wearing them. Of course, ties aren't for everyone, but that goes for ANY patterned knit. If your kids have "sensory issues," buy plain socks! The more complex the pattern, the more color changes need to occur. How it is. I would buy these socks again, great quality!
