Defective firmware, deep sleep problems

I've recently seen this issue on several different monitors. When the computer goes to sleep, the monitor is constantly on, and when it comes out again, it rearranges the windows that were on it. The replacement is noticeable only when multiple monitors are installed. Basically, the computer treats the monitor as offline and continues to move any windows open on it to the other monitor. I've seen a few posts with similar issues saying that using HDMI instead of DP or using a 3rd party program to set the window to where they were after the fact fixed this. There was also a post that said disabling autoscan input solved the problem. Don't be fooled, this fixes if you put the computer to sleep manually, but if it goes to sleep on its own it still happens. It looks like this could be fixed with a firmware update, but I've seen reports that MSI only updates it via an RMA request, and it could cost you over $100 just to get it to them send. Also, he suffers from the same problems. what IPS panels can do in the face of constant glare, regardless of the lighting in the room. After playing around with the settings to fix the problem, the picture quality is pretty good. Definitely one of the best IPS panels I've seen. Edit: Also, the packaging is absolutely terrible. The monitor screen has almost no real protection as there is only a piece of foam on one side. And if you pull out the foam block with the accessory side up, it's very easy not to grab that bottom piece of foam and just drop the monitor. WTF did you think?

Cons
  • The monitor stand is too wobbly.
