Clock not accurate or app?

I needed a waterproof watch so I could see how many calories I burn swimming. I mean, if I'm not burning enough calories, I can just sail on a floating yacht and soak up the sun. Then I can do something else to burn calories. I have an expensive iOS watch but it's an older version and not waterproof so I needed something else. This watch has a few "sports" options, one of which is swimming. Unfortunately, the calculations are NOT PERFECT. It tracks time accurately but does not count calories accurately in any way. My swim time was 1 hour 18 minutes, but that means I only burned 29 calories. WHICH? I entered my age, weight etc into the app so that shouldn't be a problem. But I can't imagine it being anywhere near accurate as I was in my 70% heart rate zone for AVERAGE. Either the app is buggy or the clock isn't working. I can vacuum the house and burn more calories by wearing an iOS watch. So now I'm back where I started. I don't really need a clock to record my time (I can do it manually). I think registering my heart rate is a plus. But now all I have to do is keep track of my heart rate and use an online calorie calculator. darn it! There were so many good things about this watch... but it means nothing if it doesn't do what you NEED.
