Doesn't work as a hair trap if your tub is large. The weight of the water makes it tight.
I really wanted this to work. It's a good stopper for unclogging an old drain, but there's a design flaw, at least on larger tubs. The plug is wide enough that the water in my tub closes it again when I try to drain it. So the hair trap part is useless. Perhaps the amount of water in a smaller tub would not have caused this. I'll keep it to myself because it's a nice looking drain plug, but I need another hair catcher. For people who only shower, this might work.
