So all the negative reviews about squeaky or sticky plastic are correct. Mine started squeezing for about 4 hours of play on day one. Whenever I pulled the joystick back, it creaked in subtle movements, and you could even feel it being very annoying. Would have liked nicer hotas but this is the only one for ps4 unfortunately the traction master didn't make it better because it was the only one for parking. Aside from the creaking and cheap plastic, the knobs aren't the best quality, but I'm just picking at them as I was already expecting them to be cheap plastic. Was going to send it back because of the creaking but found a solution after taking it apart a few times. Elite Dangerous is way more fun. TheFix! If you buy it I would also buy the silicone grease I used for braking and also buy the graphite dry lube. The first time I took apart the top dust cap and added silicone grease to the ball joint which did nothing, maybe made it worse. The second time I disassembled it completely from the top and bottom to see the entire hinge. I was going to remove the silicone grease and try dry lube but got bored and was going to send it back anyway so I added some graphite dry lube. Silicone grease and mixed it in making sure it got literally all over the joint and to my surprise it hasn't made a sound for 3 days and I've been using it extensively ever since. I think it won't be permanent and I'll have to clean and oil it from time to time, but there's no more noise and it's very smooth. If you get this I would add dry lube before you even use it. If that doesn't work, mix the dry lube with the silicone and hold the tension to the end. I really wish we had more options for hotas that work with PS4, but that's about it and it's a lot more fun and easier to control, especially with Flight Assist disabled. It's sad that Sotmaster would make such a crappy product, the only one for PS4, they should have done better, I'd happily pay double for a good hot. Until I get my friends to play on PC I'm stuck with this piece of shit lol.
