Review on Headlamp Petzl Actik Core red/white by Edyta Maria ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

An excellent flashlight with a uniform wide glow, I use it on a bike for evening rides. For these purposes, it fits perfectly at maximum mode, you can confidently and quickly pile on the forest and paths. You can see the terrain and turns in advance thanks to a wide beam that does not shine with a narrow spotlight, blinding everything that is not in the focus of the beam. The only minus of a wide beam is that I periodically see orcs - grinning from blindness, pedestrians looking in my direction, although the lantern is set correctly on the horizon - it shines on the road. But because of the wide beam, it also hits the faces of random people. It’s even uncomfortable at times, I cover it with my palm when walking by. I fastened it to the bike using the original Petzl adapter, the thing is excellent, it holds well, but if necessary, the flashlight can be quickly unfastened. Although Petzl recommends wrapping the head strap around the handlebars and fixing it in a special clip to secure against release, I took it off and drive without it. Despite the fact that there are no accidental unfastenings during strong shaking, but the steering wheel sausages along the roots as it should. Plus, you can adjust the position of the lamp to the left / right through the teeth on the main part of the mount, and, accordingly, up / down by turning the steering wheel. Definitely, you need to take the mount for the rollers - it greatly expands the scope of the flashlight) In terms of price / quality ratio, in general, perhaps the best offer in the line of non-professional flashlights. The same Tikka when buying a Core battery will cost the same money, but it will shine at 300 lumens and not so far. And here you can constantly "free" shy at 450 lumens without worrying that for this two-hour pleasure you will need to give a pack of new batteries. A separate topic is stabilization, which does not change the brightness of the glow with a discharge of the battery. We climbed with friends in Syany, on fresh batteries at max modes, all the lights shone plus or minus the same, but by the end of the outing, Actik Core shone like out of the box, and the rest were blown away to the brightness of a glowing ember. I would write more stories how cool he is, but the limit is 2022 characters :(

Pros
  • Great flashlight for your money!
Cons
  • Difficult to remove strap

Excellent flashlight. It is possible to work both from its battery and from replaceable batteries.
