I installed new shutters throughout the house and decided it was time to get new curtains for all the rooms - I have one Window in bathroom that opens onto a covered porch and so the room is usually dark - when I saw this canopy I thought the crocheted bottom trim of this canopy would let in more light and I was right - it looks very pretty, when the light shines through the crocheted border. One caveat - I washed the valances (in a mesh laundry bag) and steam ironed them before hanging them up - The trim is sewn to the raw edge of the curtain fabric and there are two sections on a valance where the threads have already been removed - I hand sew these sections before washing these curtains again - it is best to put them in a mesh bag and wash these curtains on the gentle cycle
