Comfortable but will fade over time

The gel pad is very comfortable on the wrist and I like it a lot, however I really like the beach scene but as you can see from the picture this is a mouse pad , which I bought in July 2017 (so he is about 13-14 months old), badly discolored. Previously, the sand beneath the palm rest was white and the water underneath was blue, like the water above the palm rest. I use it all day weekdays for work so it gets a lot of use but I want the gel that has been used not to discolor over time.
