We've had this toy chest for 6 months now. It was easy to put together and looked great in his room. It is very durable. But suddenly I noticed that his stuffed animals and hard plastics were covered in red spots and red dots! The red stain from the wood "melted" on every piece of rubber ball that came in contact with it! This has melted the red stain on the stuffed animals he throws in the box! It was a nightmare washing stuffed animals and I had to throw most of them away. So now I have a very sad little boy who doesn't understand why his toys disappeared after they ended up in the toy box.
