I had a stepper motor fail - it started blowing fuses and my 2nd stage was cut off by the previous owner so it was a perfect fit. All cables matched perfectly. The only problem I had was that the step worked in the opposite direction. When I finally realized that this stage had a normally open solenoid and the old switch had a normally closed solenoid, I swapped out the solenoid and everything worked great. Excellent build. Firmly. Smooth; smooth. Highly recommended. The Mac weighs 300 pounds, so be careful before attempting to carry too much baby up the stairs. Much better than my old step.
