Great product! I can't personally attest to the taste as I give it to my dogs (with some water over their bites with meals), but they seem to love it. As expected, it smells strongly of the sea. It definitely helped my dogs breathe. And they eat cat poo, so it's an intense smell. One of my rescue dogs had crazy bad breath when I got him. Now I can kiss his face and feel nothing. Maybe it sounded weird but I want to say that I can be around him and not pass out from his bad breath. So the benefit alone is worth it. I originally bought a 1.5 pound bag but upgraded to a larger size and gave my dogs 1/2 to 1 teaspoon each day depending on their weight. I also give them Nutiva Organic Hemp Seed Oil. I noticed a BIG change in my older dog's mobility. She had problems with her hips: clicking when walking and problems sitting/climbing stairs. It seemed that surgery was in her future. I was horrified and did A LOT of research hoping to find some natural ways to ease her discomfort in the meantime. I came across this seaweed and Nutiva Organic Hemp Seed Oil. I am convinced that this combination is MUCH better than fish oil for omega 3 and 6. Plus, you don't have to worry about over-processing or rancidity like you would with fish oil. (My dogs eat lamb. I've read that you need to watch your omega acid balance when feeding them chicken, so please do your own research.) Less than two weeks with these new natural supplements (full disclosure, my bitch been on Cosequin) I noticed a definite difference in her mobility. To be honest, it made me cry with joy. She was able to sit comfortably and the horrible clicking noise when walking stopped completely. It was in April. She has rough days every now and then but I can tell she is no longer in pain. She walks freely when she gets a zumi, and can walk up and down stairs at will or hop on the couch and join others on longer walks. Please consider these supplements if your dog suffers from arthritis, skin conditions or bad breath! It works. And it's much easier, safer and CHEAPER than surgery. I regularly take my dogs to the vet and she has been pleasantly surprised with her progress as well.
