My son's school has a program where teachers post their wish lists. One of the teachers asked for headphones for the computer/linguistics class and it seemed to be the answer to everything. The headphones are similar to those you get as airline handouts. They are comfortable and they work. Given that it's difficult for kids to do anything, I thought this would be a good way to solve the problem. They were cheap enough that each child could get a pair and not have to share which I think would be unsanitary and wouldn't break a heart if they went bad as they were cheap. The teacher gladly accepted it.
