Pros: Amazing, fun, cool, RetroCon :D Pad is a bit cheesy (see penultimate paragraph for details, it's not that bad) This controller is phenomenal! I've tried too many third-party controllers over the years to count. Most of the time they worked fine. However, they always had a feature that I really wanted but was missing elsewhere. Be it button response, ergonomics, joystick tension, connection reliability, there was always something annoying, 8BITDO really nailed it with this one! It has all the features you would expect from a modern controller but with a nostalgic look that my friends will enjoy when we play multiplayer. It took me a minute to get used to the joysticks on the old-school SNES uniform. This controller isn't nearly as ergonomic as, say, an Xbox One controller or even joysticks in your controller grip, but that's not the point. It's a fun controller that works great and is easy to get used to. It's easy to set up and I've had no problems playing Breath of the Wild. The motion controls even feel smoother than real Joy-Cons! Maybe my mind is just playing tricks on me. If I had to complain about anything, it would be the cross. It's not bad, but as you move your thumb from one direction to the other, it tends to get stuck in that first position. For example: In a fighting game where you need to quickly combine with DOWN, FORWARD, Y, you can just get stuck in the bottom position. It could use some tweaking, but overall this controller works so well I'm not worried about that. Great work 8BITDO! I hope one day you do something similar with a Gamecube-style controller design. Maybe something like Hyperkin Procube, but better ;)
