Disappointing product. will slow down and overheat

I bought this product and thought it looked great, the features and functions are fantastic. As soon as I got it and plugged it into my Mac, it started overheating (before I had anything plugged into it). As soon as I plugged in my HDMI and USB for Bluetooth mouse and keyboard, it became very slow. Everything I typed was delayed. So I wanted to try again (thought I got the wrong one) and the second one had the exact same story. Very disappointed, will not buy again.
