Unfortunately, this mount doesn't really hold the microphone in place. The mounting screw is too deep/high/thick (whichever way you want to look at it). With threads, that wasn't a problem. The threads are perfect for the microphone. Rather, the female end of the mic was flat compared to the depth/height/thickness of the stud. When the screw was fully threaded into the mic, there was a gap of about 1/8 inch between the bottom of the mic and the top of the mount, causing the mic to "wiggle" back and forth on the mount. I suppose this could have been remedied with additional foam on the bottom of the mount, but no additional foam was supplied with the mount.
