I drove back and forth on the Feliway to see if it really works. Of course, in my experience, this does not have a noticeable immediate effect, so you have to be very careful. We have two cats, the eldest who was about 9 years old when we got a stray kitten. Our older cat treated the kitten badly and has tolerated our younger cat for the past 3-4 years but they do not cuddle. The older cat doesn't like it when the younger cat touches it and if she puts pressure on it, the younger cat gets a spanking, sometimes in the face. Our older cat's behavior is rather fearful of strangers and strange noises. Our younger cat is quite brave and calm. So we assume that our younger cat is the "dominant" cat since she's always approaching the older cat, etc. However, when it comes to litter boxes, our older cat *never* seems to go anywhere but the crate walk. . We caught the youngest pissing where she shouldn't: mostly right in front of the box. The younger one is also very picky about the condition of the litter. She has to be cleaned once a day, otherwise she shows us her displeasure. An older cat might not care. As far as Feliway is concerned, in this situation we've found that if we leave the diffuser on and running, there are clearly no issues with the tablet. It almost seems like a coincidence, but now that we've moved again, we're having trouble with the cub not getting in the crate. We found that we had not connected Feliway. Whenever we tried to "transform" a kitten, we used different products besides Feliway like Cat Attract kitty litter, new boxes, new mats, etc. I can't say for sure that Feliway is the main ingredient, but it always works when we use it manufacture. Problems seem to creep in when we get lazy and let Feliway run out. It also seems that cat behavior towards each other improves when Feliway is around. It's a bit pricey to risk, but unlike other cat toys and products we've tried, we weren't let down by the quality. Feliway. I would recommend it for cloudy issues like the ones above. Previously, we took cats to the vet when they started defecating outside the box and had urine samples taken to check for UTIs, but with no positive results. While you should take your cat if the elimination behavior changes drastically, but if your cat has problems like ours and they might be related to territorial dominance issues, I highly recommend you try Feliway before you spend a ton of money on a vet. .
