later I've used this plus a cheap 6ft USB 3.0 to USB-C cable and it works great for the Quest link. Played Half Life Alyx and Bonework quite well. so far without delay. Can't speak for gaming and charging as my cheap cable can't do it on its own. I need to order an Anker cable to test this, I will update this review once this happens. Also, the cable is very thick, not very flexible. So I suggest using this with at least a 6 foot USB-C cable instead of a 3 foot cable.
