This tray table is simple and sturdy. I recently had foot surgery and was bedridden for the first week after surgery so I ordered this to make eating easier. You'd think the slightest movement would drop the drink or tip the plate, but this tray is pretty sturdy and durable. I could move and nothing moved. If you are only interested in the functionality and not the finish/colour I would highly recommend the tray.
