Cool thing! Okay, that might be a bit of an exaggeration, but given that this model is no longer in production and retailing at a heavily discounted price, it's a great deal. I have had a Go-Pro Hero 3, Contour Roam 2, Garmin Virb and Garmin Virb XE and have found this to be one of my favorite cameras. Man, because well, for the price, it's pretty disposable. Shoot a few millimeters next to a hacksaw? No problem. Shot in the wheel well within an inch of a moving tire? No problem. I think the Go-Pro Hero Session can do the same, but I wouldn't lose $200-$300 if something bad happened in a high-risk setting. The video is fine. About the same as Hero 2 or Roam 2. Not the most advanced by today's standards, but if you need 5-10 second frames, maybe a few times in a 5 minute clip, then it doesn't matter anyway. The magnet is useful when setting up shots, especially in tutorial videos, and can be used to get angles without using a mount. This isn't for documentaries, so adjust your expectations accordingly. A company sells a case/adapter that allows use with Go-Pro adapters, making it even more versatile.
