Review on Discontinued Epson XP-310: Wireless Color Photo Printer, Scanner, and Copier by Edward Noble

I need to print in color about 12 times a year so I bought this as an inexpensive replacement for a printer that is no longer working. Let's seriously overestimate 2 years from now and say I've printed 100 pages and let's say it's been a month since I last printed. Three colors are about half full and black is almost full. I print a page - light graphics and text - and nothing black prints. I do a head cleaning and nozzle check and the nozzle check prints about half black. I do a head cleaning and nozzle check again and it does NOT print black again. I replace the black cartridge (always original Epson btw) and it still doesn't print black. I wipe everything with alcohol, try to clean the head again and check the nozzles, I get about a third black. cleaning and checking; no black. cleaning and checking; two thirds black. If you're not familiar, the nozzle check prints two rectangles approximately 1 inch by 1.5 inches. During this process, cyan ended, then magenta, and now yellow. When I started, these cartridges were about half full, and all of these nozzle tests combined wouldn't take up a quarter of an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper! I have spare cartridges for all four cartridges but to be honest I've spent enough. with time and ink that I could buy a better car and be less frustrated. I'll take her back to Office Depot and I won't waste another minute on this piece of junk. Revain should allow us to give 0 stars. Bottom line: don't waste your money.
