Review on πŸ“· Sony A1 Camera Body by Adam Nowak ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

Helpful implement for the job. You're a photographer who doesn't limit your photographic pursuits. Those who have yet to buy A1 should take note: 1. RAW is 100 mb in size. A more substantial SSD might be what you require. I plugged in a Type-C Sandisk external drive. Similar to the built-in, the speed is not an issue. Those who enjoy watering the set should immediately invest in fast memory cards with 256 GB of space. Four to six is ideal. Third, I didn't see any difference in workflow time when using the most recent version of LR on an iMac 2022 Retina 5k compared to using an A73 or A1 file (i7, SSD, 40GB RAM, 580 Video). The battery eats well enough that it's worthwhile to keep it well stocked. Moreover, the set includes an external charger:)))

Pros
  • β€’ 50 megapixels for less post-shoot cropping hassle. In particular, 24mm's superb color and DD can be used to create vertical photos from horizontal ones. Even the most difficult shooting situations may be easily RAW - you. Features include as rapid, precise autofocus and a silent, flash-compatible "silent" mode (when using a synchronizer with Sony contacts). Only about 1500 frames were shot with the mechanics over the course of six months. The remaining (about 100,000) can be found in digital format. Not so for RSH. It functions admirably under the illumination of vintage fluorescent lights. And since the shutter speed is set to 1/36000, shooting at f/1.2 allows you to do so even during the middle of the day. For shooting 8k 4:2:2 footage and several 4k formats, you'll need a memory card slot that can quickly and efficiently draw CF-Express. β€’ user-friendly interface with high-quality LCD, menu, and buttons (as the owner of the A73, I can say that the A1 screen is really good) Features: β€’ a sizable and ergonomic EVF; β€’ the ability to shoot in lossless RAW format (L-RAW, M-RAW, S-RAW) thanks to the most recent firmware; β€’ superb ergonomics, all controls are within easy reach (speed, WB, AF points, etc.) That's all I can think of at the moment, anyway.
Cons
  • β€’ the screen can only be tilted backwards β€’ no 16-bit RAW (though rivals to Fujifilm do provide this)
