Spin a few times before trying.
I really liked the design of the scale. And a hard black razor....mmmm....decadent. The only problem is that the screws holding the scale together are so loose that they just accidentally fall out. Now if you tighten all of them with a small Philips head when opening, this problem shouldn't be there either. But alas, if like me you don't notice until it's too late, you'll have a hard time finding replacement screws and the blade just goes where it wants. This makes it somewhat impractical for practical use. But still a great piece for the collection.
