Review on 🧣 Ultimate Protection and Comfort: Minus33 Merino Wool Midweight Balaclava by Rene Carrell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very effective but oversized

I live in North Dakota and for the last month we've had over 60 inches of snow and then arctic air. So I had to be outside when it snowed, when it was -20ΒΊ and colder. You need to understand this context to understand my review. Firstly, when it arrived it smelled so bad I couldn't even taste it without getting sick. It was as if he had been dipped in oil. I had to wash it before trying it. I washed it in cold water and let it air dry to keep it from shrinking. The first wash wasn't enough to remove the smell. I had to wash it a second time before the smell went away and it didn't work. When I was able to try it out, I found that it's just too big for my head. The balaclava started spinning on my head while I was wearing it outside, and soon enough my left eye was closed and my right ear was open. I had to correct it several times while trying with a shovel. I tried washing it in hot water and medium heat to try and shrink it. Ink is basic, but it doesn't shrink at all. So I stick with the balaclava, which is too big for me. That alone should give it a few stars, but everything else is so good I only gave it one star. This is wool. This makes it very warm and breathable! I can breathe normally when I'm in -20 degrees with my nose and mouth closed, which is a miracle. Although my breath got wet on the balaclava, it didn't turn to ice and my face stayed comfortably warm. It was a great help during these storms! I only wish I could get a smaller one.

Pros
  • ADJUSTABLE FITTED: One size for multiple uses. Wear as shown, covering your nose and mouth. Pull down slightly to open your nose or nose and mouth. Pull the top back, put your head through the opening and wear it as a neck warmer. Adapt to your needs on the go.
Cons
  • Long time
