Review on The Ultimate Morakniv Bushcraft Knife: Incomparable Performance in Sleek Black by Jorge Kumar

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great outdoor knife

This bushcraft knife is an improved version of the Morakniv Companion Heavy Duty knife with a carbon steel blade. Companion is less than half the price of a bushcraft knife, but you get a few upgrades with bushcraft. The blades of both knives are made from 3.2mm thick carbon steel and both weigh less than 6 ounces. The bushcraft blade is approximately 5/16" longer at 4.25". The bushcraft blade is approximately 2.5mm wider and has a black tungsten finish. The Companion's handle is made of dark green plastic with a soft black non-slip grip covering most of it. The bushcraft grip is also dark green and has a soft black non-slip finish, but the finish covers most of the grip. The Bushcraft has an index finger recess and a more pronounced finger protection. The pad also has thumb and palm recesses. Both grips have a very similar feel, and the molded plastic sleeve is similar. The bushcraft sheath has two belt clips that clip into a slot on the back of the sheath. One can be opened to be attached or worn on a belt up to 1 1/2 inches wide. The other is a closed loop and fits a belt up to 2 1/2 inches wide. The sling on the Companion sheath is a closed loop molded as part of the sheath and fits a 1 3/4" wide sling. These knives are very similar, so if you only get one, just decide, whether these upgrades are for you.Knives are ideal for most outdoor activities: hunting, camping, hiking or just cooking.Check out Morakniv knives on YouTube. They are so powerful they could be hit with a club or nails can be hammered in. They are so sharp that you can easily make a feather out of them, stick in tent pegs or a steak or cut them.
