Got this for the Ren Faire suit and it was enough. It reaches several feet in length, so my tall friends, fear not! It fits snugly and you can trim the ponytail to the length you want. I wouldn't recommend this for actually holding your pants, it's just for beauty and not strong enough to mount a dagger or other weapon let alone hold your pants.
