Review on ๐Ÿ’ป Logitech MK200 Media Combo: Full-Size Keyboard with High-Definition Optical Mouse by Marco Huff

The mouse disappoints again

I had a wired CyberPower mouse and keyboard that came with a custom PC I ordered, but the squeaky mouse clicks and horrible keyboard over-reaction caused me to eventually look for a replacement. Above all. I don't know which "features" to rate. Ergonomic? Not as much. volume control? um only up, down and no sound. What is there to rate? And also. "Transparency"? W.what? It is advertised as a combination of "media" kb/m. Which keyboard corresponds to the description. It has the necessary media buttons (play/pause, skip/backward, volume up/down/mute, etc.) and some browsing controls. Surprisingly, the mouse has NO multimedia or web browsing capabilities. I was expecting at least forward and back buttons, maybe tilt / scroll, but this is a minus for them. It's the simplest mouse I've ever used, and to be honest, it annoys me that it only has two buttons and a scroll wheel. Not to mention that despite claiming it's a full-size mouse, it's way too light and small. I think that's the worst thing for me since I have medium to large hands. On the other hand, it's a very smooth mouse, which is nice since my displays are 144Hz. And as I was typing this, I realized that this keyboard and mouse combo is actually pretty much the same models as the Logitech Wireless Combo (920-008971), except for the wireless part. So I should have expected the same for the mouse I think. Again, for the price I paid for it I'm not disappointed as I now have an extra mouse. But that means finding a mouse that fits my needs (or going back to using my semi-new but otherwise reliable Logi M510 Wireless, which one day mysteriously stopped working). But I won't go back to this Logitech wireless keyboard, as much as I love its layout and media controls. The occasional stutter and lack of response just aren't worth it. I asked for help on this. Your Answer? "Use an extension cord." I moved the key two inches from the keyboard, but the problem persisted. But this is another story. Be careful with their wireless keyboards!

Pros
  • Full-size keyboard with media controls: shortcut keys for instant access to music, volume, apps, web and more.
