I was looking for an inexpensive, pretty duvet for our bed because we have a dog, so from time to time the duvet gets dirty and needs to be washed. I didn't want anything expensive or too thick so I could wash it at home and not worry about it getting a bit dirty. I have to say I was personally impressed with it. It looks great, feels soft and silky, has plenty of padding but isn't heavy. I think this blanket will keep us warm even in winter. My only complaint is that it's a little short on the sides, you can see the slats on the sides of the bed along with the mattress. Even if I used dust ruffles, they would still be too short. Although it's short, I really like the way it looks. This is excellent value for money, especially for a king size.
