Update: if your mask has a filter pocket it can work in it. When you put it in the filter pocket, it won't slip off the mask and keeps it in place a bit. It won't protect your lipstick like the description says, but it will also save you from breathing difficulties if you wear a mask and filter. It also helps "fill in" masks that may be too big for your face. (For reference, this is a picture of a Vera Bradley mask that needs washing :)) I wanted to like it. In theory they work very well but in real life they are too slippery causing the masks to slide off.
