Review on 🪑 HON Convergence Mesh Back Task Chair with Adjustable Height Arms, Black by Carla Martinez

The Hon Convergence is very similar to the Ignition 2.0 in that they have the same adjustment options. Pros of the Convergence: I found the Convergence to be more comfortable as the seat cushion was plush (more memory foam) rather than dense and uncompromising. I don't know if that means faster smoothing. Both chairs also have adjustable plastic lumbar support, but I prefer the Convergence back support. Not because there was more support, but because there was almost no pressure on it and it could be fully lowered so I could get it out of the way if needed. The Igniton 2.0 back brace was much more aggressive and cut into the lower back. It's also not low enough to ignore. With the same customizations and greater comfort (for me), the Convergence was also significantly cheaper back then at $189, while the Ignition 2.0 was $313. : The Ignition 2.0 had a 4-way stretch, smooth mesh back that conformed to your body, while the Convergence's mesh was barely yielding and felt less refined (although it wasn't rough against the skin). In terms of comfort, to be honest, it wasn't that important to me. The convergence mesh had some loose threads which makes it seem less likely to me that it will see multiple years of use compared to Ignition 2.0. Both chairs have rocking abilities, which I enjoy when I'm working, but the Igniton 2.0 was a little quieter in comparison. With the same settings, the height of the Convergence armrest at its highest position was about half an inch lower than that of the Ignition 2.0, which made it difficult for me to get close to my desk as the armrests didn't protrude higher than my standard desk. Honestly, the height difference wouldn't matter if the arms could move backwards. In the end I returned both chairs. The main reason is guns. Although they have height and width adjustment, the width wasn't narrow enough to support me when I wanted to print vertically. I also found that my work chair armrests had to be adjusted front and back to allow my chair to be closer to my desk when typing. Otherwise, I'll crane my neck or lean forward, causing more pain in my back. If arm adjustability is not important to you, choose Convergence. It looks like a $350 chair if not more. For reference, I'm 5"4" and weigh 136 lbs. The seller offered the Revain Hub a free return option. I'm not sure about the return fee as I've been returning the chair for two weeks and am still waiting for a refund.
