This device is reminiscent of the Gongfu brewing style but without all the equipment and hassle that goes with it. Simply place tea leaves in the top chamber and add water. At the end of the brewing process, press the button and the tea infusion will be poured into the teapot, and the tea leaves will remain in the upper chamber. In other words, the upper chamber acts as the gaiwan and the teapot acts as the chahai. We've only been using it for a few weeks but so far it's working great and seems to be of good quality. I got a similar device from a major tea shop that has stores across China, and it was cheap and poorly made: the lid broke easily and the leg attached to the button came off the device. For this reason I bought this product. The quality seems 100 times better. Highly recommended.
