I just received them today and they are bright today. I love their size and utility. I don't know how long they will last but this is what I was looking for. My husband goes out to feed the goats at night and by the time he's done it's dark and the snakes are out. He doesn't carry a heavy flashlight in his pocket or anything cumbersome or bulky. Tonight he happily carried one of these tiny things in his pocket and used it when it got dark and said it lights his way up very well. I tried one at home. I have MD so I have dark spots in my vision and I need a small flashlight at night when going from room to room. I don't have to feel the street to find the switch. Batteries are already installed in them, so they are ready to use. Love colors, everyone in the house should choose their favorite color.
