Quality laptop (cloud based) for the price

Your typical $250-300 Chromebook isn't as well built as this example. I bought two for my kids for school as all their classes are online. and in the cloud (Google Docs, Microsoft Office Student, Zoom, etc.), all of which work here. The FHD screen (Full HD [1920x1080 pixels]) also shines in this class. The keyboard and trackpad are surprisingly good too, and the speakers are above average too. For the first week, both Chromebooks I bought lasted 10 hours +/- an hour or less consistently on a single charge, so the battery life won't disappoint. Cons: 1. You only get 32GB of storage, while many new competitors are offering 64GB (albeit without a great screen or build quality), but on other devices if you need storage later, it's not a problem since you just need an SD card and can get a slot for it - which you CANNOT on this and only this model as there is no SD card slot.2. Quality comes at a price here and that's the weight, it's slightly heavier than most of its competitors. Okay, it looks like a clean tank and the weight in your hand is reassuring, but it's still heavy for a Chromebook and you have to keep that in mind. Beware of old product reviews of this laptop. I can confirm that installing all of its updates will allow you to activate the entire Play Store of Android apps, which in my humble opinion makes this laptop almost invisible. You also have the option to add Linux functionality, but with 32GB of non-expandable storage, I doubt anyone would choose to do that on this particular device. A clear recommendation, especially if, like me, you had to buy two devices for children that could break them, as children sometimes do. On the other hand, her mom was very impressed and I think she wants to trade in the black plastic Lenovo laptop I gave her a few years ago for one of these shiny new Chromebooks. This laptop was launched over a year ago, so you'll find deals cheaper than the original $300.
