Remove the wiper arm bracket before installing a new wiper blade.

The original wiper arm bracket needs to be removed from a 2006 Honda Accord before installing the driver's side (26 inch) wiper. If you don't remove the new wiper, it will not make full contact with the windshield because there is no such strut on the passenger side.
