This has been on my bed for 5 days, the first day the F code flashes on one side, it can't connect as both are powered from the same side , this is fixed after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable. I started with a setting of 10, after an hour it was barely warm, increased to 12, then 15, then 20. After about 2 hours it was comfortably warm but nothing like that should be on high. Later that night I woke up in a cold bed with both sides flashing the F code. Turned it off again, checked the connection down by the bed. The second night I tried to warm it up, an hour later I went to check, the F-codes are flashing again. Disconnected, reconnected. Bed barely warm on H setting. Run until F-codes start flashing, about two hours. On the third night, the F-code flashes when turned on. 4 nights preheated, preheated and cycled up to the H setting with no codes, woke up too hot after about 4 hours and shut down. So it takes about 4 hours to warm up the bed at level H, which isn't as warm as my last duvet at level 8. The duvet itself is nice and thick and doesn't slip like my last extra thin one. who lay at the foot of the bed every night. I'm starting to get very frustrated with the electric blanket fiasco, 4 blankets ago I had a blanket that lasted 10 years, 3 blankets ago - a year and a month, then 2 blankets ago - less than a year and the last one only worked on one side after the first winters. I'm interested in the security of a blanket that displays permanent F-codes. Sunbeam has a 5 year guarantee but you have to pay a lot of postage to get a queen size blanket and wait months for a return so it's not a guarantee at all just an additional cost. I made the mistake of not having time to put this on my bed until there was only a few days left to return it and there was no way to do so. I want to find a really good electric blanket!
