Like others here I found the instructions to be too general for my specific needs. Basically everything is fine - set the switch and connect everything. BUT two things to watch out for if your car is similar to mine. LDVP input/output. The connection must be made to the gray plug, not the yellow one as indicated. I followed the instructions and nothing worked. Based on another user's feedback, I figured I would swap the LDVPs, plug the yellow back in, and plug the gray into an "extension cord" instead and it would work. Secondly, you need to connect the included AUX cable to the armrest compartment slot, even if you don't connect anything to it. In my case, I couldn't select AUX audio to listen to the CarPlay device until I did. After doing these two things, everything worked. I use a USB connection as I love charging my phone in CarPlay and everything is going fine at the moment. Installation was frustrating as these things weren't clear in the "Instructions" but thanks to other people I was able to figure everything out.
