I bought these shoes for my 24 year old son who sometimes has trouble finding shoes for his 12EEEE foot size. He works on his feet all day, so he needs comfort. He wasn't thrilled with the price, but I told him the Rockport brand was worth a few bucks more. He called me the first day he put them on and told me what amazing legs he had! He wore them for his entire eight-hour shift with no problem. These are so-called hiking shoes, i.e. not sneakers, but also not evening shoes and certainly not "old-fashioned” shoes! Ideal for jobs that require black lace-up shoes (restaurant, grocery, retail, etc.). My son is now for sale at Rockport.
