I have pain in my neck, chest and lower back/hip/pelvis. hard case. I'm 5'0", 10 lbs. I recently bought 2 other lumbar pillows. Then I looked for harder and thicker ones, but not just on the sides. Some others say it's too wide or too thick. That is just what I need. Also it has a hard foam. UPDATE 2/24/17: USES THIS DAY + NIGHT with very little disruption. That's about 5 months for part-time chair users! It's still holding up like new! HE'S NOT RELAXING, how many! It doesn't heat when I heat! I returned to get another one. Spent time + money trying to find perfection. Absolutely sold. Tried and true. Pain subsided within hours. and week 2. I would have never thought that a pillow that is properly sized for my comfort (even in a chair) could relieve pain so much treatments at the moment I have limited walking distance but not complaining d to the smaller pillow too move that moves to the side who n it is in the chair. It must be hard for those lying down! Should work on other hard back chairs. Do not give up. This required trial and error with other styles over time.
