The tone faded quickly no rebound could be better for younger children

Our 21 month old 24lb granddaughter got it for Christmas the 25th. Today, on the 27th, the sound stopped working. To be honest we don't like the sounds but the baby loves them. If she never knew a pony sings she wouldn't care, but now the lack of a pony song bothers her. We dug under the neck to pull out the battery compartment and switched to 3 new AA batteries. Those Chinese batteries were already bad. With fresh, decent batteries, the sound is much better. Let's see how long this lasts. If we have a few more days, the horse will come back. I think this horse is better suited to younger children. It just barely jumps. It doesn't have springs, but it does have rubber bands, and they give very little. If she were younger, this lack of exercise could make me feel more secure. He moves, but not much. This kid has been crazy riding the little wooden rocking horse since he was 1 year old and he's pretty good at rocking. I think we all thought it would move more. It may be better for a child who has never rocked before. The size is good for her age (she's pretty average height). She can sit up with some help and get off easily which is a plus. I see complaints about the plastic base's movement, but we had it on a hardwood floor and carpet and the slippage was pretty much negligible. It can be worse with a big child. Whether we keep it probably depends on what happens to the audio after that last battery change.

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • poorly thought out
