I recently hooked up a retro gaming PC to my man cave TV, and there's no substitute for a wired connection for an arcade controller. The cable that came with my controller was relatively long, but not long enough to work with a large TV. The solution is an extension. The build quality is excellent, the female end is solid metal and fits snugly. Haven't tested speed yet as I only use it with one controller, but no misses or jumps so far. One thing to note is the thick cable. If you want to use it when traveling, put it in your registered bag because it's heavy. That's not a plus or minus, just a fact.
